MotionTech, a leading automation partner focused on making motion smarter, has acquired Kairos Global, an original equipment manufacturer focusing on powered belt curves, merges, and specialised modules for warehouse, logistics, and airport applications.
The acquisition represents a strategic expansion of MotionTech’s conveyor offering and geographical reach, further building on the group’s strong position within full-cycle automation services. Kairos Global’s products and capabilities expand MotionTech’s portfolio with a broader range of standard and tailored curved belts and merges, which strengthens MotionTech’s role in supply to parcel, e‑commerce, and airport projects where high‑performance curve technology is critical. The MotionTech platform creates synergies as well as new opportunities by providing Kairos Global with a stronger base for global growth in intralogistics applications.
Founded in Malaysia in 2014 by Steve King, Kairos Global serves customers across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the United Kingdom, and North and South America, and employs approximately 50 people. MotionTech has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Kairos Global from Steve King and Richard Coles, and the company became part of the MotionTech group as of December 2025.
Louise Ringström Grandinson, CEO of MotionTech, commented: “Kairos Global is a strong strategic fit with MotionTech. Their deep technical expertise within curved belt technology and their strong track record from projects in airports and logistics make them an excellent addition to MotionTech. Steve and the Kairos team bring broad experience from the automation industry and a true entrepreneurial spirit that fits very well with our culture. We have already seen the value of working together in previous successful projects.”
Steve King, founder and Managing Director of Kairos Global, commented: “We are very pleased to join MotionTech’s entrepreneurial group of companies, and believe it’s a perfect platform to meet the increasing market demand for our products outside of the Asia-Pacific region. By utilising existing infrastructure within the group, we will be able to ensure our valued global customers a quality product with matching service and support in a more efficient and timely manner across all continents.”
With the acquisition of Kairos Global, MotionTech is taking another step in its journey to bring together entrepreneur‑led automation companies – each with deep local roots and technical know‑how – to deliver smarter, faster, and more sustainable solutions for intralogistics, warehousing, and production across Europe and beyond.
