MotionTech has appointed Sarah Allen as Global Software Director, supporting the company’s continued investment in software as a driver of growth and customer value.
Based in the UK, Sarah will support the international development of Helix and MotionTech’s broader software portfolio. She joins from Dematic, where she contributed to the development and international growth of a comparable software platform. Her experience spans product strategy, international deployment and scaling software products.
The appointment comes as software plays an increasingly central role in warehouse automation. Alongside automation hardware, the ability to connect, orchestrate and optimise equipment is becoming a key factor in delivering successful integration projects.
Developed by MotionTech Software & Controls, Helix is a warehouse control system that connects host WMS or ERP systems with equipment on the warehouse floor. It orchestrates automation technologies in demanding customer environments and is recognised for its reliability and ease of use.

MotionTech is also establishing a dedicated Helix product team in the UK and adopting AI-powered development tools to accelerate innovation and bring new capabilities to customers faster.
